is there anyone still waiting to hear from upenn...
i had the late interview...and they said they are still reviewing my appl..
and they said i am not a wait-listed ..i don't whether no decision is better than wait-listed or worse ... any comments ...

I called today and they told me that they haven't made a final decision on my application, is that what they said to you? I have no idea if that means wait list or not. She also asked if I had heard from other schools, why would that matter anyway?

I am...
I called Corky this morning and she said my application has not been sent to the committee for final decision (I'm not sure if that's what she tried to say to me since I was sooooooooo nervous at the moment on the phone, but now I am worried that if she meant I was waitlisted). I interviewed in mid-November and thought my interview went well, and I have decent stats with ec's like everyone else. I asked her if they already sent out first round of acceptances and she said yes. Then I asked her roughly when I should expect to hear back from them, she said she wasn't sure.

i specifically asked whether i am in wait list and she said no ,,, and she says they are still reviewing my appl ... and (on my interview day) also during the 5min talk with cork she said i have to update all the future transcript for later on ... so i had a feeling maybe i am in the wait list already ,,, btw what is the diff between wait list and no decision ... ?

It means that u r not good enough to be accepted on Dec 1. Keep showing ur interest about the school may help (call Corky and let her know that). Corky is really nice tho.

If you haven't been accepted to Penn, don't worry, a lot of first round acceptees will decline due to the cost and their admittance to a state school. Good luck!

I am in the same boat. I haven't heard anything from Penn yet...
My question is...if you are not good enough to be accepted on Dec1st...then do you even have a chance to get the dean's scholarship?? For, example can someone that got accepted in Jan or Feb still qualify for the scholarship??? Just wondering...I wouldn't mind getting that offer....

From what I understand, the Dean's scholarships go to the most qualified people. If they decline their offer, their scholarship goes to the next qualified person and so on. I'm guessing that if you get accepted later, like in Jan or Feb, the scholarships will have already been handed out. That is, assuming they don't save any for later applicants.
