anyone use UW as a (almost) sole resource?

this question is directed toward people who scored average on shelf exams.

anyone use UW exclusively or almost exclusively before taking step 2?
especially studying the UW answer explanations?

how did it turn out?

how effective is memorizing the explanations?
i would like to think that with 2000 questions, you could hit every topic on the test

have you taken the test yet? I'm an average kind on the shelf exams and doing Qs are not really seems to be showing how much I know. it is scaring me. Anyone else have similar experience?

no. my test is in 2.5 weeks.

however, I just finished all the Neuro questions on UW, and I found myself drawing question marks next to a TON of those questions. I was guessing a lot.
I finished reading Kaplan neuro, and it didn't help. There was no discussion about CNS blood supply, and I don't feel like going back to read about it either.

that is what makes me panic.

i think i'm gonna drop everything, and just target all the wrong answer topics, look them up on Current consult.

hopefully that will help me get as many points as possible.

I used usmleworld for 3 weeks and was able to go through it about 1.5 times. No first aid, secrets, boards and wards or any book because I was short on time and wanted to take it right after 3rd year. Did around average for the shelfs. Ended up with mid 230's on step 2.
