I took all of my chemistry finals with the ACS and still have all the books. They are great and each section has a preview. If you never heard of them, they are great and easy to follow. And they are about $20 to $22 each full of 1 year of gen chem or organic.

How many questions are in each booklets? Does it worth the money? I don't know if you've seen examkracker 1001's GC and OC, if so, how do you compare them?

Each booklet has about 10 sections and each section has 20 to 30 questions. Some are easy, some are hard...I havent' seen the other exam Krackers. But I really like the ACS booklets. I guess we should ask more people that have taken the DAT and know the booklets to see what they say.

I brushed through some of them. The organic was good but the gen chem was way too in depth for the dat.

Hey, I'm doing Kaplan and some of the gen chem have way too much detail and I'm getting frustrated with it. I got so used to the booklets and it has lots of details but hey are more compact than Kaplan long explanations....

Did you take the DAT already?

You seem to be on the right track...

I used the ACS guides for both general and organic chemistry and got a perfect score for each section. I thought both were way better than destroyer (I compare it to destroyer b/c so many on this forum rave about its usefullness in chemistry).

Could you please elaborate a little more about your opinion on ACS booklet?

And also, what did you get for each sections?

Perfect score means greater than 25...🙂

My TS was a 25.

Nothing to really elaborate more on. I thought they were great and frankly better than any other DAT tool out there.

Are the ACS booklets kinda like Kaplan subject tests? Which one are more similar to the DAT questions?
