Anyone volunteer at RIC? QUESTION!!!!

I volunteered at RIC and was wondering how to classify my experience there. I shadowed OTs but I also was technically called a volunteer. Would I be able to list this experience as shadowing or volunteering? Or does it even matter how it's classified when I apply?

Anyone else work there?

Hi, I volunteer there. I personally would classify it as volunteering, because shadowing is more or less following/observing an OT around as they go about their day. I don't think listing it as volunteering will be any less valued by OT schools, and would more accurately describe your experience there. Hope that helps!

It definitely does. I just feel like I got such a mix of volunteer and shadowing experience there that I wasn't sure how to classify it. Thanks!
