anyone willing to read my personal statement?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Sure, I have sometime right now.

Hope you really mean it when you say brutal 😉

Sure, I was accepted this cycle, and can give you some thoughts.

I would love to give input! PM me if you want me to help.

I'll take a look, but I will almost certainly tear it to shreds as I have done for almost 5 years of premeds now.

I love givng feedback on personal statements, ive never lost a scholarship when it involved an essay! Brutality is my specialty! ;D if you need anyone, feel free to give a shout!

Feel free to send me a PM.
Will get back to you in early april.

I'm glad I spent the time distilling my reasons for pursuing this profession, but I spent way too much time on the personal statement. Hope you don't make the same mistake.

As this article makes clear, most of them are impersonal and interchangeable, which is a sad result of the nature of the game which I think rewards timidity and is too suspicious of creativity.

Thanks to everyone! I got some great suggestions already and I'm going to rework before sending any more out! I'll message you guys directly in a couple weeks! 🙂

Would any of those who offered previously be willing to read a draft I have now?

I haven't offered previously but I would be willing to read your draft now. I'm a non-trad pre-med with a degree in English from a top 20.
