I'm leaning towards not answering this because I think my application says enough about me but I just wanted an outside opinion to see what others thought of this for the optional secondaries where they ask if there's anything else you want to add

My father is a physician and I thought of writing a brief essay for the optional section about how I was appreciative of the way my father handled my decision to pursue medicine. For all of his kids (4 of us) he's really emphasized that we should all find what we love to do in life and has never put any pressure towards us to follow his footsteps as a physician and when I told him I wanted to become a physician he was supportive, but also encouraged me to explore all my options in college to make sure it was what I really had a passion. Looking back this has been really influential in my journey because I never felt that pressure to keep on this path and it has allowed me to really be confident in my decision to pursue this career.

Would something like this even be worth writing? I wouldn't plan to make it a long essay, just enough to describe how it has been a part of my journey.

This isn't a speech for the Oscars with your family in the audience. Save it for your Lasker speech when thanking your father/parents would be appropriate. (Like Matthew Tkachuk did paying homage to his dad Keith when the Panthers won the Stanley Cup last night.)
