Does anybody know of any post bac, 1yr masters, or 2 yr masters programs that are available for fall 06 admission ??? I know there are a couple out there somewhere...

roswell park for instance is open till July 31st (I think)

Also... I know that programs admissions vary in difficulty but generally how hard are masters programs to get into ?? Are they easier or more difficult then general college admissions??

thanks

BU MAMS, maybe Barry, are still available to apply to. They're harder to get into than undergrad admissions, and at this stage, you're probably looking at a wait-list position. Classes start in 2 months at these schools. Most of the other masters programs had June 1 deadlines.

The post bac program at LECOM (Erie) will be accepting applications until the second week of August....

i applied quite late to some state/city schools in new york which are basically rolling....that might be your best bet.

You could apply for a spring start to the BU MAMS program. If you plan your course schedule out correctly, you can avoid an extra year.

Masters/Post bac deadline:
June 1 : Georgetown, Mt. Sinai, Virgina, NYNJ, Fitch (chicago)
July 1: NYMC, PCOM
July 15: Drexel, Upen
Still Opened: Barry, BU

All west coast schools and majority of post backs were due april 1st.

I think BU is filling up--but if you have really high stats...i think you should be okay. If not...I think Barry is your best bet.

I applied to BU MAMS last week, and just got directly accepted (no WL). My stats weren't that great (IMO), but I had several years of science experience and was already accepted to the MPH, so perhaps that swayed the decision? Either way, I don't think you should have a problem if you apply for spring, or even this fall - if they want you, there's still space! 🙂

VCU's certificate program is probably still accepting people as well. I know of people who didn't apply until after it had already started last year and they had no problems.
