My AMCAS application was verified earlier today, and I was taking a look @ the coursework section—good news is my BCPM GPA is .01 higher than I expected (3.71) and both my AO/cumulative GPA are okay as well (3.72)

Bad news is I have is a year-by-year downtrend in my AO GPA: from freshman to senior year, my yearly AO GPA was 3.85–>3.85–>3.70–>2.70. I only took one non-BCPM class my senior year, and got a B-.

My BCPM GPA has an upward trend, and my cGPA has no trend. Will my AO GPA trend be a red flag to schools even though my overall AO GPA is a 3.72? Should this be explained in secondaries? I feel like I shouldn’t draw attention to it, but not sure.

If I were looking at that GPA trend, I would also be looking at the number of credits earned (next column over on the grid as it is displayed for me) and seeing "3", I would not give it a second thought, or I might go to the listing of courses taken in senior year and see what you did poorly in. (just out of curiosity). Don't worry about it at all. Nothing that needs to be explained to a seasoned adcom.
