AOA needed for UCs?

One of my friends in a program at UCD explained that there are so many great applicants nowadays that AOA and high boards will probably be required, or close to it at any rate, to get into a UC or Loma Linda.

Any thoughts?

Nope, I don't buy it. At least not about Loma Linda. Maybe UCSF, but certainly you don't need AOA. Not this year anyway.
