I listened to their samples and felt like it was just having a textbook being read to me. There weren't any memory cues, there weren't classic findings. It felt like they were just rattiling off words. I had already used Kaplan at that time and didn't really invest a whole lot of time into them. BUt then again, their samples should be their best stuff...

Has anybody used the Apollo Usmle Help Audios for the Step 2 CK? Worth the money/time?

My company, Apollo Audiobooks, LLC produced the USMLE Help Step 2 CK Audio. It is a short review, only 9 hours. It is NOT comprehensive for Step 2. It is just a refresher. Hence the price is only $24.99 (not $1,000 or $500).

We also distribute the Gold Standard Step 2 Audio. We digitized it to distribute as an MP3 download. It is more comprehensive, 89 hours. By selling as MP3 instead of CD's we brought the cost down from over $300 to only $99.00 for email subscribers.

In short, our USMLE reviews are not what you need if you are looking for a 4 week, in-house, course with slides, laser pointers, and Q&A with the faculty. For those courses, you should definitely look elsewhere and the costs are what they are.

Our reviews are to take up your "wasted" time driving, commuting, working out, and we have priced them accordingly.

I was a med student too. Money is tight. You have to decide what is best for you.
