I put Biochem as planned course this summer. If i get into dental school and they dont require biochem can i not take it? What do i do, how do i notify the school?

hey joobs,

I think just like they expect you to do well during that last semester of undergrad they probably would want you to take the classes you were planning to take before getting accepted, but you should call the school and confirm so that you don't waste your summer on something sooo painful and unnecessary... 🙄

nahh wait till you get your acceptance to be safe...
 
I think that if your biochem class isn't required to obtain your degree and not on the school's list of pre-reqs then you should be fine dropping it. If you recieve an acceptance soon you'll still have to submit a final, official transcript and they might inquire about it simply because you have it listed as a future course.
 
Even if it's not required, it's not a bad idea to take it before dental school or at least to audit it b/c a lot of people find it to be pretty tough...however, if you don't have the time, I'd check with them after your acceptance

I agree w/ this post. I would take it since I'm sure it will be helpful in d-school.
