If I'm sending my app before I took my Dats, do I have to say on the app when I'm planning to take it or can I just leave it blank?

Hi Chiterry-

I would say just put a date down. Doesn't necessarily mean that you HAVE TO take it when you say you will, but it'll probably make the schools feel better that you show intention to take it sometime in the near future. 🙂

yea its definately a good idea to atleast put some date down...that way they know you are serious about your application

Thanks for the advice everyone! I registered for the DAT at the beginning of July but still havent had a response. Am I supposed to get something in the mail or email so that I can set a date?

You should get a letter through the mail letting you know that you are able to set a date. When you get that letter, you can either 1) call the number and set a date, or 2) set a date by going online to prometric's website. I opted to do the second. When are you thinking of taking the DAT? 🙂
