Hello all! I thought I would start this year’s match thread. I would love to see where you all end up as well as the patterns. Thus, only if you feel comfortable sharing of course, please include how many places you applied to, how many interviews you received, where you matched, what number you ranked the site you matched at, and your speciality/emphasis area(s).

Matched to my first choice! San Diego VA Consortium (SAMI-PTSD Track)!

Applied to 15 sites. 14 interviews offered. Ranked 21 tracks!

Hit me up if we are going to be cohort-mates!!

Applied to 23 sites (nearly all speciality tracks with 1-3 spots at each site)

Interviewed at 14 sites

Ranked 13 sites (1 was undergoing accreditation and wouldn’t find out the result before rankings were due)

Matched at my #2, which was a perfect fit for me, and I should have ranked #1. Turned out exactly as it should have I feel.

Spent between $3k-$5k all in all, despite staying with friends and family for some interviews. Stayed at Airbnb’s mostly.

Applied to 20 sites
Interviewed at/ranked 9 sites
Matched to my #2, a VA in the south 🙂

Applied to 20
Interviewed at 7
Matched to my #2 which really should have been my #1 (everything happens for a reason!!) at an academic medical center in NY-area

Applied to 20, interviewed at 12, ranked 12, and ended up at my #4, a VA site in the Midwest. I’m pretty happy with the outcome and am so glad to see so many of you happy as well!

Congratulations to everyone who matched. To those who did not match, there are some great remaining sites. Best of luck in Phase II.

I applied to 18 sites, interviewed at 10, ranked 8 tracks, and ended up at my #4, a medical center in the New York metropolitan area. I'm happy with the outcome as I only applied in a very narrow geography due to family responsibilities. So, I landed at an APA-accredited site, close to home, that has an excellent training program. I actually should have ranked them higher.

Congrats to everyone who matched! I matched at Boston Children's Hospital and am super excited! I have been lucky enough to already meet my cohort via email, but I'm wondering if there is anyone else who matched in the Boston area who might be looking for a roommate for the next year. If so, please hit me up!
