Hi guys, I'm going to get a powerbook 12" superdrive in a couple of months. But before I purchase it i've been trying to find a good backpack and some accessories to ease the process into apple. I am looking at the iskin, icurve while getting an extra keyboard and mouse. I will most likely get a booq powersleeve 12" which i think is a beauty. What do you guys think about the iskin and the icurve? Is the icurve collapsable? I can't really see it from the pictures.

I read from some review on another site about someone setting it up. So i assumed it was collapsable. What its just a glass statue?

No, the iCurve isn't collapsible. It's just a plastic-like one-piece support to raise your computer and help disperse the heat from the computer. My brother has one, and he loves it.

Check out the Fusion 12 bag by Brenthaven. An awesome bag that has a slot for your Powerbook (custom made for the 12" Powerbook), iPod, notes, batteries, video adapters, power adapters, etc.

www.brenthaven.com (just look around for the Fusion 12) or http://www.brenthaven.com/store/flash/pdf/apple/Fusion12MC.pdf (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

I agree this is one of my options but I feel that it is too big. I wouldn't want to carry my books in my backpack and then carry a side bag like this. The booq powersleeve is very slim and does an amazing job. A friend of mine wants to get this tank.

I have an iSkin on my 12" superdrive powerbook. It doesn't fit perfectly - it hangs over the edges of the laptop just a little bit (a couple millimetres), but it fits the iBooks and larger powerbooks better. Still, I'm glad I have it on the keyboard, as I know I wouldn't want the stuff I find on my iSkin underneath my powerbook keys.

what do you do tape it down?

There's no need to do that; as I said, it only hangs over the edges a millimetre or two (1/16th inch?). The iSkin itself is rubbery, so it kind of sticks itself to the keyboard. I suppose if you were really determined, you could trim up the edges so they didn't hang over that little bit.

Road Tools PodiumPad

I think I will get this since the icurve doesn't collapse. This will be easier to transport. Does this really help cool down the laptop? I know the icurve does a great job.
