I have been out of school for 3 years now, working in the field of research. My GPA is OK at a 3.4, and my GRE scores are less than stellar 680Q and 480V 5.5A. With my experience in research and my experiences working in an emergency animal hospital, what are my Chances of Vet school this year? What are the chances I will get an interview? I plan to retake the GREs but not until next year with the deadlines fast approaching. Any help would be great, but would love to hear from students that were already accepted!http://img.studentdoctor.net/images/smilies/cloversmile.gif

What was your undergraduate degree in? Have you looked at the vet schools and the listed of required courses you need to have taken?

By "this year" do you mean fall of 08? Id say your are starting way to late to even have a shot for fall 08 seeing as how the application deadline for vmcas is in 6 days.

Have major in biology, chemistry minor. I have 99% of all of my classed completed, except for nutrition, only required by a few schools. My application is to be submitted today, just need to upload my personal statement. So all of my things are in order, I was just hoping some one could give me an idea as to my chances. I will apply no matter what, but was interested in what experiences other applicants had similar to my own.

Your chances depend on the schools you are applying to. If you go to the individual websites of the schools you are applying to they should have the stats listed for this years class (V 2011) and possibly previous classes. Those averages will give you a decent idea of what you need to get in at those schools--just remember they are averages!

Good luck.
