Hi all,

Im almost ready to submit my app, but I havent finalized my schools to apply to yet. Amcas instructions don't say if you can add schools after you have submitted tha app. Does anyone know if you can add schools after submission?

It actually does say (page 72), and yes, you can.

yes you can but you'll have to re-certify and resubmit the entire application.

It should be noted that this is a trivial process and does not affect one's place in the queue for verification (if entered). It also does not require re-verification if one's application has already been processed.

Found this topic~

So I assume we just add new schools and just hit "submit" again?
Are there any negative effects to doing this at all? (I am still researching schools, might take another week, but my application is ready to go.)

no negative affect whatsoever (besides a bigger bill 😛) since getting my mcat score i have added schools again and again as i research new ones

I think I've added 4 times.

The only negative affect is if you are super sensitive to carpal tunnel syndrome and clicking a couple more boxes pushes you over the edge.

Yep. If you're already verified, re-certification takes a few minutes, and your app is made available to the added schools in something like 24 hours/the next business day.
