About me:
23 y/o male
1st degree in psychology, finishing 2nd degree BSN program in May of next year
uGPA: 2.69
Post-bacc GPA: 3.971 with 53 credits so far, another 67 to go including a few prerequisites and some other courses required by schools I am interested in
cGPA: 3.06
Projected cGPA: 3.31 with my current projections based on my math with a significant upward trend.
Clinical hours 3000+ as a psychiatric technician and student nurse with an estimated additional 2000+ as an RN by the time I apply in 2025
Previous life experience: Two years in construction management, both commercial and residential
Volunteering: 100 hours with Red Cross, 50 hours with Anatomy and Physiology lab as a lab technician intern assisting with the preparation of donor tissues used by the local DO and PA programs with an additional ~10 hours per week for the next ~1-2 years.
Research: None so far, but there will be upcoming opportunities with the Anatomy and Physiology lab in the coming semester.
MCAT: Planning on taking in 2024, recent diagnostic of 501 with a year to study.
I understand that this is sub-optimal as a WAMC with no MCAT score, but I would like to know if there is anything that I can add to my application over the next 1.5 years that could potentially help with my chances that I may have been overlooking.
Thank you for any advice that you can offer!
