i was recently looking on the stanford site for their program and was really amazed with all the research they are doing in so so many areas...and most especially their department in alternative medicine...with using accupuncture, massage, and hypnosis. I love these nontraditional modalities and was curious as to which other programs have a good focus on a wide variety of modalities...and perhaps a heavier focus on psychology?

are there any programs like this in chicago? in the midwest?

my board scores are about average. and i've been in school for a while...health issues.

how could i make myself competitive for a place like stanford?

Stanford has taken IMGs in the past, you be the judge about what that says about its competitiveness... If you want to go there, sign up for a rotation there, lot of options, C/L, child, inpt...etc.
