Application and MCAT timeline suggestions! Help pls

Hey,
I am currently planning on applying to both Allopathic and Osteopathic schools this summer. My GPA stands at a 3.58 cumulative and 3.3 science. After two summer courses myGPA will stand at 3.61 cum and 3.35ish science. I am planning on taking my MCAT whenever I am ready between May 19th and July 28.

My summer courses will have their grades posted by August 4th. With this fact, I am debating on waiting until applying with my grades in August or applying early in late June with my courses as in progress. (I really wanted to apply with a solid 3.6+, I'm a little OCD)
The courses are: one retakes of an upper level C grade and one additional science course

I am planning on applying to both DO and MD. Should I apply to MD early and then wait for August for DO?!

Curious to see how others weight in, but I don't think a 0.03cGPA difference is worth a later app. You can always send the grade updates along in August and it'll probably be before they look at your application but at least you'll be all verified.

That's for MD. For DO waiting until August should be fine.

Agreed. Apply with what you have and just update your grades later. Otherwise this will make your application come in late... which is one of the worst moves you can make if you can avoid it!!

As a lazy applicant who applied late, I heavily agree with the above. Submitting apps is horrible. Id recommend taking the MCAT in May.

Also worth noting in case you don't know this: the retake will not replace the C.
