hello all!

i'm a junior who is currently studying abroad in madrid. my exchange program's classes started in early october and will end in mid-june. last semester i was in 3 semester classes and 1 annual class, and this semester i'm in 3 new classes and i'm continuing with the year-long class. all my classes are free electives, non are science classes nor pre-reqs.

i'm preparing to submit my application as early as possible in june. i took the DAT last august, my LORs are lined up, etc. basically, my application will be ready to be submitted in june. my issue is that my classes here don't get transferred back to my university in the states until around early to mid july (when all the grades will be submitted by the professors). i'm worried about this delaying my application process.

now, i called ADEA and a woman on the phone there told me that i shouldn't worry and that i can put in my fall 2011, spring 2012, and the annual course in as planned/in progress, submit my application, and later update my transcripts with the study abroad credits when they become available. she stated that this would be different from the academic update. i am just a bit confused because i don't see anything online which says this is possible.

does anyone have experience with a similar situation? i'm confused about if i can submit my application in june with my freshman/sophomore year transcripts while having the grades from my junior year abroad pending and updated afterwards. if it's possible, that is great. but i feel a little unsure about the whole thing. any advice would be appreciated!!
