  1. Pre-Medical
Hi. My best friend is applying to P-school. I wanted to know if most pre-pharmacy students apply right before deadline, or months before it's due? I know most medical students start applying in the summer, and those who apply later than that have to deal with a hard time getting acceptances. Is it the same for pharmacy schools?

It depends whether the pharmacy school goes by rolling admissions. If so, your friend should definitely send out his or her app early...most schools will tell you when their interview dates are. for example usc's first interview date was nov 8. and they say they notify people 3 weeks in advance. so you have to have everything sent in before october to be able to get that first interview. the interview was about 25 people per session (6 sessions that day i think) and they said they will accept 3-5 out of each 25...so you would have a better chance of getting in if you applied and interviewed earlier. hope this helps!

Does pharmcas supply the info on schools with rolling admissions? Do schools like UIC or UNC at Chapel Hill have rolling admissions?

Sometimes applying to a graduate program takes a little work. Try their websites or admissions offices. If your friend wants to put off even gathering information about potential schools to apply to, maybe they're not for him/her.
