Hey guys,
I am finishing up my apps for optometry schools. I took the OATs last summer and didn't do as great as I wanted to. Now I still want to apply with those scores but my question is should I also list on the application that I will be retaking the exam which I plan on doing in November 2011 (this November) or should I only list the OAT from last year and see what happens and depending on the results, decide whether I need to take the exam or not? Please help I could really use it.
PS I'm already registered for the OAT in November so either way it won't be about saving money.
Thank you in advance

I think it depends on 4 things
1) how low your scores are
2) what school you want to go to
3) and whether the school you get into matters to you..
4) cumulative and science gpa

AA 300
TS 300
Cumulative GPA 3.4
Science GPA 3.3

I would like to go to SUNY or PCO but would not mind any other school either.

Your gpa is fine..
The entering class of 2010 at SUNY had a AA 343/ TS 353
so If i was you i would definitely re-take it.

I figured, but do you think it's ok for other schools? I would love to go to NOVA as well. I would just like to know whether or not I should indicate on my application that I am re-taking it or just apply with the scores I got not indicate on my app that I'm retaking it.
