application fee in addition to $ w/AADSAS?

Hi...
Acknowledgement that schools have received my AADSAS have finally rolled in... And they ask for more $. Some aren't very clear whether or not this is money in addition to the fee we paid when we submitted our AADSAS application...
I'm confused -- should I be writing checks now? $70ish per school when we sent in AADSAS, and $70ish again now that theyve received it?
(namely 5 CA schools, 3 Mass schools..)

You betcha! 2 fees!! Fees to AADSAS to have them send it to the schools/process it.. and then additional fees to be mailed/written out to each individual school! 🙁

lol, i remember the threads about this this time last year when I was applying. that's right, a flat processing fee + x amount per school goes to aadsas just for collecting your stuff and copying and sending out to schools. then each school has the $50+ application fee. then you pay for lodging and transport to and from interviews. then you have to put down a deposit, hopefully just one but maybe two depending on the timeline of getting acceptances from your schools. start saving

Yup! If they ask for it you've gotta give it (if you want them to consider your application). And then there is the added expense of going to interviews to consider.
