Application for 2011 Entering Class

This may be a dumb question, but when will I be able to register with AMCAS for 2011 entering class? I know they accept letters of recommendation starting in May, and in order to do the letters you must have AMCAS ID and Letter ID.

I need some help figuring out the how application process, is there a PDF that kind of walks you through it, AMCAS website has been giving me problems the past few days.

I am a few years removed from the process, but I am pretty sure that your AMCAS ID number is your AAMC ID number, which I think you initially get when you apply for the MCAT (so you should have the number for any letters you are asking for).

You are correct, you can sign up for AMCAS and start entering data in early May; however, you are not able to submit the application until June.

For more detailed and reliable information, go to the AAMC and AMCAS websites. If you cannot find the information there, they usually have a contact number or email for you to ask questions.

You can open an account with AMCAS now and get a number, but any data you enter will disappear and need to be re-entered when the new application season opens in May. As long as you recall your password, you can still access the account you'd already opened.
