I read already several times, that there is no need for the help of an agency for the guidance process through application at universities in romania.
But in 2006 I already tried to apply to the University of Oradea, I drove there from germany with a german-romanian who could speak with the locals and talked with a secretary at the university from the International Relations Office.
I also send my documents to the Ministry Of Education in Bucharest - in June - and the german post send me a notification that the letter arrived in bucharest but since then I did not hear anything from there and never saw the documents again.
Well, the next year I became a place for studying in Germany and so I had no more interest to study there.
But now my brother wants to study in Romania and because of the bad experiences with the application we wanted to take use of the help of an agency, even if read, that there is no need for it, we want them to help us, we just worry if these agencies just scam and do nothing and we get the same result like 4 years ago -> no result.
We contacted http://www.medstudentadvisors.com/ and they said it costs about 1000 Euro to arrange the place and so on - that would be ok for us, because some years ago when we tried it ourselves it took us 400 Euro of gas for the car and 200 Euro for the hotel, time, etc., which was a waste of money because the result was ... nothing.
So I would like to ask if anyone here has any experience with people who were helped by such an agency (maybe even MSA), did they really do the application process or do they just take the money and do nothing?
Our priority is to get a place at the university and 1000 Euro would be ok for this if these agencies really do their job and get us a place...
Thanks in advance,
Alex

Did you use the search function on this topic? Your answer might be there, along with international scandals relating to these agents. Only idiots fall for it at this point.

Oh yeah, you didn't "become" a place for studying in Germany. You "received" or were granted a one. Wurdest du einen Studiumsplatz? Because that's what you said in English.

Anyhow, it's quite odd that you claim you have a study place in Germany, but want to go to Romania of all places.

Oh really.
I understand your fears as a student also i have heard of people with this issue
to be honest with you,
I would advise you get the application done by someone your
probably know or have talked to. someone you can be conviced will do the
job for you. since your priorty is clear. all you want is the acceptance letter.
You could contact. for assistance

you are better off studying in poland or hungary. romania is not organised as well as these places. if you want to study in a large city then krakow in poland is great. if you want to study in a small, student orientated city then pecs in hungary is great. the application process to these places is very straight forward and the schools help you all the way.
