Hello, I'm a medical doctor, and I have decided to go to dental school. My questions are do I need to take all the exams like the DAT to apply and if I've already taken the basic science classes in medical school do I need to take them again?
Thanks

Do you still have debt from your MD program? The climate right now is hard enough just for dental school debt... I would not recommend it for someone with other debt as well. It's been 'in vogue' to talk about having a job that makes me happy la la la the last few years. The next decade the people who are the ones happiest are the ones that actually have a job and are not strapped with mountains of debt. Those making over 100K are going to get slammed with taxes and noone cares how much school debt you have.

There's a number of oral surgery programs that take MDs and then you just take the dental classes while the other residents take the MD classes. I'd sure as hell do that before going back to dental school and have no income and take on another 200K in debt. Good luck
