Hi guys,

I wonder is submitting primaries July 13 late or is it an OK date? Application Verification are kind of slow this year.

You'll probably be verified around mid-August. Only on SDN would that be considered "late." It's not.

Since, the OP's question is answered, I'd like to ask my own related question. My school has messed up two times with my transcript and I won't be added to the verification queue until probably Aug. 1. Is there anything I can do to keep myself early? At this point, I see myself being verified in early September and complete in October. 🙁

I think the general recommendation here is to prewrite as many secondaries as possible and complete any secondaries that are sent to you before you are verified. That way you will still be ahead of the people who are verified around the same time but might take several weeks to submit secondaries. Just a question though, why wouldn't you be complete until October if you are verified in early September?

Do you mean why WOULD I?

I just figured that the schools will take at least 2 weeks to get everything sorted out to make me complete.

Once your secondary is submitted and the school has received your fee payment and LORs, your app will be complete almost immediately. If I were you, I would pre-write some of your secondaries and try to submit them within the first couple of days after receiving them.

Yeah I just meant I think if everything is in many schools will have you as complete before then. Some schools have been slower than others but several had me marked as complete a day or two after my amcas was verified and I submitted. I guess it might be slower later in the cycle though.

Not necessarily only bc some schools take FOREVERRRRRR to send you their secondary.

All but a few of the schools I applied to sent me secondaries within two days of being verified. A few others sent them before I was verified. There are exceptions, but yes many of the schools will mark you complete immediately or within a few days.

All the schools (except 1) marked me complete literally 1 minute to 1 day after I submitted my secondary. This is after my primary got verified, LORs are all in, etc. So if you pre-write everything, you'll be complete almost as soon as you get the secondary invite.
