Application Mailout

Is anyone else running into this same situation??

My application was mailed out by AADSAS last Friday (7/22). I've called multiple schools today, all of which have told me that they have not yet received it.

How long is this supposed to take??

I think I remember reading on their website that you should allow 2 weeks after the printout is mailed. Mine hasn't been mailed yet, so I couldn't tell you how long it takes on average.

Thanks. I just got off the phone with AADSAS (the guy was actually nice). He said the July 22nd mailout was the 5th one so far and this one had approx. 500 applications.

Is there any reason u send ur application in paper format instead of doing it online?

oh, i thought the paper format was no longer an option this year.

AADSAS website does say that the applications may take up to 2 weeks in teh mail. good thing they are sending them with UPS.... i wonder how long they would take if they hand delivered them.

also... i was told by AADSAS that they have received ~ 1500 applications so far. so the competition has for sure started.

I know from other posts that you have made that you are younger, and I've tried to forgive your naivete. However, do a little research, then ask intelligent questions. If you looked at the ADA website, you would find out shortly that the AADSAS application service is now completed online and there is no paper application for us. However, the AADSAS sends a hard copy of our applications to the dental schools and that, my little friend, is the paper copy that you don't understand.

By mailout, I'm not taking about my application to AADSAS. I'm talking about the hard-copy, physical application that AADSAS mails out to each of the schools.

Everyone has to apply online - there is no other option.

Just wondering when they quoted you this figure...shouldn't it be around 2,xxx (if not more) around this time already?
