I've been having a real hard time with my personal statement, so the common app is not yet submitted (everything else on the app is typed in). I am getting worried because I feel I've run out of time. In fact, the deans office is saying their letter on me will not be done until I send them a copy of my ps. What should I do? Should I just go ahead and send what I have so far (basically CV plus Step 1)? Is it even possible to do that?

Thanks.

November 1st seems to be the deadline for many programs. Even though it may seem far away, i would submit my app before then...the sooner the better of course. and according to my dean, the first day a dean's letter CAN be submitted is Nov 1st.

just do your ps. seriously, just suck it up, put something down, get a friend to edit it, and yeah. you wanna get your application in as soon as possible.

Just to reiterate, you do not have to have your personal statement completed to apply. Only the CAF has to be finished. The personal statement can be submitted and modified at any point in the process.
