Application process and confustion?!?!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am slightly confused by all the ADA and ADSAS and ADEA floating around. I am a sophomore and I have not registered for any programs other than my DENTPIN. I am preparing for my DAT in late July, but was confused about a few minor details.

Can I take the DAT and keep my scores without starting the application process until my junior year of college?

Does the number of dental schools I select to send my scores too matter, should I strategically select the school that I would like to send my scores to?

Thanks.

Yes, after you take the DAT I believe your scores are saved for 3 years.

And honestly you should just click them all, but as long as you choose one school I believe that AADSAS can retrieve your scores for the application. So I guess you don't have to click them all, just select the schools you know you will apply to (state schools).

There really is no reason not to check every school when you take the DAT. It's one flat fee before the DAT regardless of the # of schools you designate, as opposed to a $35 fee per school designated after the DAT. Save the money.

Didn't it change? I thought you don't have to send additional scores anymore because aadsas can pull up your score directly?

Can someone elaborate on this??
