I have completed all of my pre-pharmacy pre-req's except two. I am taking the PCAT in novemeber and still need one LOR. From the experience you guys have with applying, can I apply before I take the PCAT and before I have my last LOR?

Absolutely. It will be to your advantage in most cases to go ahead and apply before you take the PCAT and once they receive your PCAT scores, your file will be complete and they can take action on it. In many cases, they might go ahead and grant you an interview and make a final decision when the scores come in. As far the recommendations, if your school uses PharmCAS, then you submit the recommendations seperately with the supplemental application. If your school doesn't use PharmCAS, they you might have to send the recommendations together with the complete application packet.

UF will accept your Pharmcas application as soon as you submit it. UF does a supplemental application in which you send your LOR seperately. You can submit your LOR's seperately and they will hold everything in your file until is complete. The drawback is that they won't look at your file until everything is completed. Also, they don't make decisions until January and letters go out in early February. But if you have your folder completed early they can at least consider you earlier than other people. Good luck

Depending on your GPA, work experience, community service, etc., some schools will even interview you if the only thing they lack is a PCAT score. Some schools also have conditional acceptances for these types of situations. It is in your best interest to apply NOW. 👍
