Good day everyone!

I'm sorry if this question has been answered before or if I'm in the wrong section but it concerns the application process for going into pre-pharmacy.

So here it is:

I'm a senior in highschool wanting to go the 0-6 route at either Rutgers, USP, or MCPH. I'm at a loss for how I put across my decision to take the 0-6 route at either school since USP and MCPH are both common app and won't really allow me to specify what my plans are. As for Rutgers, I have yet to open their application process on their website.

In short, how do I let Rutgers, USP, or MCPH acknowledge that I am applying for their 0-6 pharmacy route? Also as a side question, how do I let other schools such as UOP (CA), Pacific U, and Uni of Houston acknowledge that I am applying for their 2+4 pharmacy program?

As of right now, all I've really done is put forth that I have an interest in pre-medicine or pre-pharmacy if the application allowed me to do that. If it didn't, I put down either Biology or Chemistry.

Thank you for your patience and, again, I apologize if this question has either been answered or is in the wrong sub-section.

For 2+4 programs, the only thing pharmacy schools care about is whether you've completely the necessary pre-reqs (not which track or degree you've picked, unless you're actually planning on getting your bachelor's), so your choice shouldn't matter for them.

I don't know a lot about 0-6 programs, but make sure you've been through the website for each pharmacy school thoroughly (the general undergrad page might not have all of the info that you need). If you've already done that or you try and it still isn't clear what you need to do, just play it safe and contact the schools directly. Don't wait around though or you might start running up against application deadlines.

Thanks for the information.

I feel like slapping myself right now. I was so worried about finishing the common app information that I did not realize that my route in college would be specified under supplements. Of course this is only for common app schools (USP, MCPH, and UOP).

As for letting Rutgers know what your route is, and other schools not on the common app, I believe it should be somewhere on their personal online application (I've not touched it yet, although I will reply again with an answer once I've finished with it).

Again, thanks for the reply R2pharmD2. Funny name btw. I love star wars! 😉
