Application Question about research

On the application under research experience it asks whether the research was paid or volunteer, but it won't let you put both in one entry. How should I fill this out? I have done research for 2 years and part of it was volunteer while part of it was paid. Should I just enter it in once and put paid or should I make 2 separate entries and designate one paid and one volunteer? I'm sorry this may seem like a stupid question, but I don't want to put it in wrong.
