Hi all,

I just had a question about a trend I was noticing. I feel like the longer the schools take back to reply, the higher the chance that they are not going to give you an interview invite. In general, what is the longest gap any of you have experienced between having your secondary file complete, and getting an interview invite rather than a rejection?

For me (so far) the longest wait was about 2 months.

Thanks for the input. So I am guessing you still have some that have not replied past two months? I am interested to see if they will invite you for an interview. Hopefully so!

Yes, there are actually a lot of schools from which I have heard nothing. Just gonna wait and see what happens!

My longest was 4-5 months. Completed in early September, invited in either late december or early october, interviewed march, and was eventually accepted during the waitlist period. That being said, I was applying as OOS to a state school that tends to prioritize in state interviews and acceptances before OOS, so it is not indicative for all schools.

yea I am guessing their in state prioritizing could have something to do with that. Then again, it is quite a bit of time so your comment gives me some hope.

Do keep in mind that these schools get anywhere from 5000-13000+ apps, and it takes time for them to get to all of them.
