Hey there, this is my first post ever. I have read many threads, but never posted. I have an important question. I am in the application process now, and my file is complete, except for my DAT scores which I am taking August 30. I noticed that the ADA takes up to 3 weeks to send your DAT scores to the schools. i was just wondering if I could send an unofficial copy to the schools, since that is the only thing that is left before my file is complete. Have any of you ever done this, or known if it works. i mean will they see my unofficial scores and be like ok, he got this, or will they have to wait til the official scores to arrive before they can review my file? Im trying to get the earliest interview possible given that Im taking the DAT August 30.

why don't you call the schools you're applying to and ask them? it probably varies from place to place.

First off, welcome to SDN! Second, most schools actually download your scores within a couple of days of you taking them. I understand your desire to get those scores out asap and I too called around to various schools and all of them said faxing a copy of the printout from the Prometric center would be fine as long as they were able to get an official copy later on. Go ahead and just send them out - if a school doesn't want your copy then they will simply put it in the back of your file or in the waste bin.
