I have not applied to any dental schools because I didnt take the DAT yet. Can I still submit my application to dental schools without taking the DAT. I am planning on taking the DAT in early august (is that too late?) i really feel like I need as much time this summer to study.... any responses are appreciated

You can submit. If you are "planning" on taking it in the near future, you can input the date and your application should be updated after you take the test.

In the future, instead of waiting for someone to respond, answers to a general question like this (by general, I mean not specific to one person) can be found by searching SDN or by looking at the FAQ on the AADSAS page, dental school pages, etc. Not trying to be a dick, just saying you could have saved yourself some time.
