Hey all, I have some questions regarding the application process. Any help or insight would be much appreciated!!
1) I plan on taking my first MCAT in February and possibly another in March/April if it comes down to it. Many DO schools I'm looking at have their application deadline on 1/1/22 and the AACOM application allows you to put your test date rather than posting an MCAT score. Should I submit my application without an MCAT score and will I be able to send them my MCAT score once I take it (past the application deadline) or is this something that I have to contact each individual school about? If so, how will this impact my chances at an acceptance? I have an absolute rock star upward trend, which carried on through my 1 year informal post-bacc at UCLA Extension so I really wanted a stellar MCAT score to give me that boost when evaluating my application.
2) When listing experiences, should I only be putting significant experiences (work, research, volunteering) or are smaller positions/durations like summer lab internships and executive positions in a fraternity acceptable?
Let me know what you guys think. Thank you!
