qustion #1: does anyone who is one the the authors of a pulished paper plan to put it in your application? Or has anyone done it? If you have done it, would you mind letting me know which section of the application did you put it udner or how have you done it?

question #1: I am a lab technician. Should I put that under work experiece section or reaserch expereince section in my application?

1.) Put it under research and awards or honors.

2.) Put it under work experience for sure. Are you actually working on your own research as a lab tech? If so put it under research too.
