Hi everyone,
I see that over the past few days people are beginning to get responses from various schools about receiving their applications, and some interview invitations, including my main school, UHCO. I did receive and complete their supplemental application over a month ago, but unfortunately, since optomCAS mailed the applications, I have not heard anything from them yet... not even to confirm that they have received my full application yet. I saw that some others have at least received a notification saying that their application was received.

Is there anyone else here who has applied to UHCO and not received a notification yet? Should I be worried that my application isn't there? I just took the OAT 2 weeks ago, is it possible that they don't have my scores yet? How long does it normally take for a school to receive your scores, from the time you took the test? If they haven't received my OAT scores yet, would that be the reason I haven't heard anything?

I'm tempted to call the admissions department to speak with them, but I don't want to come across as being pestering or aggressive. Would it be a bad idea to call and ask them this soon? Should I just wait it out?

Any info or advice?

I have received invites from other schools (all of my application materials are complete), but not UHCO. I am in the same situation as you with them. They are not my #1 choice so I am not as concerned, but I haven't received any sort of confirmation either.

I got a confirmation letter from them through snail mail yesterday. so I would say to just wait it out a little bit longer, as you know how slow these things can be 😛

I am in the same position as you - Houston is my main school. I think they are just taking a little longer than others to get this thing rolling. I would be surprised though if we didn't start hearing back from them, Houston, this next week, seeing as my other schools started contacting me a couple of days ago.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Makes me feel more comfortable knowing that I am not alone here with UHCO. I guess I'll just wait it out for a bit and see if they are in communication with me in the upcoming week. If they are actually sending things by snail mail, I can understand it taking a few extra days to get to me from TX as I am in NY state. I didn't know if they were communicating via email, phone, snail mail, whatever...

Please feel free to keep everyone posted here when "y'all" hear from UHCO.

Hey, I noticed you said you took the oat 2 weeks ago, and then asked whether the school would have your score yet. Just so you know, your oat scores won't be sent out for 30 days after you take the test. Stupid I know, to have a delay that long, but that definitely could be a factor. And never be afraid to contact a school regarding the current status of your application! i.e. if they have everything yet?
