So my aacomas application was verified a few days ago and I was checking the classes I had taken. Two of my classes qualify as english courses except I accidentally marked them down non-science. This mistake only gives me 4 credits of english instead of 12. Not one DO school takes less than 6 credits of English. Does this mean I'm not going to get any interviews? Can I just call up the aacomas and tell them what happend? I have no idea what to do and I'm basically freaking out at the moment...:scared:

yes call aacomas and have them fix it otherwise you will get an interview but you will have to negotiate with the schools about this matter. This problem shouldn't stop you from getting an interview. You can correct this problem at aacomas end or at the school where you get an interview.

I would call ACCOMAS and ask them about the error. relax. you took the courses, it shouldnt be that difficult to fix this. It should show on your transcripts that you took the courses. Just give AACOMAS a call and youll be fine. Good Luck!

You have to leave a message and it takes up to three days to get back to you. 😕 Hopefully this works out. Thanks guys.

Don't panic from the aacomas side of the story, I am sure you don't want to further delay your processing. Just take it up to the admission counsellor at the school you will receive your interveiw from. You can talk to them after or before interview whenever u have free time. I seriously think this is not a big issue.

I was going to do that but I just got thinking I wouldn't get an interview because it seemed as though I didn't have all my prereqs done.

Complete pre reqs is not the criteria for getting an interview, it is the criteria for matriculation. Many students will be finishing their pre reqs next spring or possibly summer. Atlest that is not the case with you. So, you are safe.

don't worry..i made a mistake on my aacomas also and i got interviews. most schools require that the requirements are done by matriculation. they'll just let you know during interviews if you're lacking something. at that point, you can tell them the corrections. but if you could fix it ahead of time, why not? go ahead and call aacomas.

Also try emailing AACOMAS at least twice about the issue if you want it resolved quicker....just be thorough in your email...and Jason will get back to you in a few days and get it fixed...that's what I did when they made a GPA calculation error on my stuff! Best wishes...

I would email AACOMAS and contact the individual schools as well, just to make sure. LECOM-Erie rejected me for not having my prereqs completed, so it really depends on the school. Most of them don't care though. I was also missing organic 1 and 2 and not a few credits of English. I wouldn't stress out too much. I am sure you will be fine! GOOD LUCK!!!:luck:

even if you can't get it fixed with aacomas, don't worry too much🙂 . I did the same thing last year and i think only Western said something about not fulfilling the english requirement...which i explained to them and it was fine. I think that schools won't hold it against you at this point in the process..because potentially you could be planning on taking another English course in the future before you matriculate. if it makes you feel better, call the schools you applied to and explain to them what happened. i'm sure as long as you fulfill your college's english requirement to graduate, its enough to satisfy the english requirement of most med schools. :luck:
