Ok, so I tried searching and got some mixed results, but I was wondering how I should structure the next few months I have before applying? I have a decent MCAT score, and a decent GPA, but I'm still working on ECs. I guess my major concern are LORs. About when should I have them ready? I've heard some posters talk about interfolio, and others saying that the letters are sent via mail on official university parchment. Does this just depend on the school? Is this information on each school site? Also, is it possible for me to preview applications this upcoming cycle so I can sit down during, say, winter break and knock out essays and whatnot?

And another question, do I need to take all my prereq classes before applying? I know some schools require stats, but I wanted to take that over the summer so I don't have to deal with taking it over an entire semester. Other than that, I have my basic science prereqs done.

Sorry if these questions are really basic, but I just wanted to clarify some stuff. I'd appreciate the input. Thanks!

The sooner the better. Since you're applying this spring any letter from here forward will be valid. Go with Interfolio, there is no school (that I know of) that will refuse letters from Interfolio*. Make sure your letter writers put their official letterhead and a (scanned) signature on the letters to save yourself a future headache.

*Some (few) schools (I'm looking at you MSUCOM) have a stupid ad-hoc questionnaire for your letter writers to fill out, which immediately invalidates all of your other letters regardless of format.

Yes, if you go to the AMCAS homepage you can create an account now and find a current copy of the primary application.

I believe you have to finish all pre-reqs before applying (not 100% sure though, so someone else please chime in). If you have everything else in place and submit your primary immediately after your summer class (around the end of June) you will be fine as far as timing goes.

Ok, thanks a bunch for the info. I'll try scheduling an appointment with my premed adviser and see if they can help me out as well.
