Application timing and chances?

So I know the significance of applying early in the cycle, but I am in a predicament and cannot take another gap year.

My cGPA is 3.0 and my sGPA is a 2.8
(I know)

My MCAT is a 506

EC's
DI college athlete
Health club president in college
Scribe
DO shadowing 50hr+
volunteering 200hr+

Regarding my GPA, I was going to retake classes and bump the sGPA to at least a 3.0, but the classes available at the local cc are from 06/20/16 to 07/28/16

Would it be wise to wait until the beginning of August to send in my application? Or any other options?

I think it would be worth it to wait and retake some F/D/C classes. That will, hopefully, boost your gpa.

You need to rehabilitate your gpas. This is not a race...you need to build a stronger app. Even if you applied early you will most likely get rejected from all the schools on your list. If you know that your gpa needs work then start working on it...now

It honestly depends on what GPA you'll end up with. In any case, your chances are 0 right now. You need to work on that GPA no matter what. Applying early won't do you any good.

You'll need to boost your GPA above 3.2-3.3 to have a shot.
