Right now I am in my second semester of inorganic chemistry and biology, will be taking phyics 1/2 and orgo 1/2 the following year.

Going to take a leave from my job at the end of the spring semester and devote the entirety of may-june-july-early august to MCAT studying (will use condense SDNed plan).

So here lies my question: Should I go ahead and submit my application for the matriculation of 2015? As in submitting early july, august MCAT and then they will recieve my scores in september.

Only potential problems it may pose: I will not finish my bachelors degree until likely the spring of 2015 (which I know is fine in itself). I am a very non-traditional applicant: ICU RN doing some pretty big GPA repair (up to a 3.14 as of December.) Being conservative I believe I can have a GPA of 3.3+ (scigpa should be higher). As well I will be taking a very large load of classes the fall + spring which will boost my GPA more (meaning adcoms won't be seeing the potential for higher gpa).

To condense i'm just worried I won't be the most attractive applicant to start off and then compound that with the fact my application will be pushed back for the time being until my MCAT scores are back.

If I do decide to wait I understand 2015 = new MCAT, by waiting I subtract a year of eligiblity to be able to submit that MCAT, the only pro is more undergrad classes to boost my gpa.

I appreciate any advice/feedback.

Take MCAT earlier imo.

Realized I made a mistake when I wrote this. Meant to write submitting in june (isn't that right--people still submit primaries in June even if they haven't taken MCAT yet?).

I work full-time, but I can manage to take a leave for X amount of months.
I feel like I have one shot and a good MCAT could be somewhat of an equalizer, would you still reccomend taking in may/or june = studying during physics and orgo 2 semester?

I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot.

Yea you can submit and be verified without your MCAT score, but it's my understanding that schools still put you on hold until they see your score. So your application won't be considered until September, which is bordering on late. Just my opinion though.

I think I am just take my classes as planned and take my MCAT sometime in the fall of 2014 (or august even). I really can't afford to screw it up, and if at all necessary I can retake for the last available current MCAT test which will be january 15.

Hypothetically an MCAT at that time of the year will be good for 2 application cycles?

If you take the MCAT in Fall 2014, it will be valid at nearly every school for matriculation until 2017.
