Something I worked on was recently accepted for presentation. I want to update programs where I interviewed and have a few questions:
1. Is this helpful?
2. On the flip side, can this hurt me? Specifically, these e-mail will imply my interest in the programs since I am making the effort to make my application look better, however will this be an equivalent of saying "I'm ranking you highly" aka "you aren't number 1"?
3. Do I email the PC or the PD (if I have his/her contact info)?

Thanks

1) Unlikely to be helpful this late in the game, unless you're presenting at an incredibly prestigious conference and the quality of the research was not evident in your ERAS application and interview. Even then it's unlikely to matter.

2) Not sure why you would think this could be a negative or interpreted as dis-interest in a program. The only slight negative is that your email will be just another junk email from residency candidates in the PD/PC's inbox that they will delete, so they might get annoyed.

3) If you want. Unlikely that it'll be a positive or negative at this point.
