"An application through the American Association of Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS). Applications are accepted between the dates of May 15 and January 19 for each academic year. (For example, applications for the class entering in Fall 2007 can be submitted as early as May 15, 2006 and as late as January 19, 2007.)"

I didn't know one could submit his application so late. Pre-dental forum members freak out when they hear of someone submitting their application post-July. I was thinking perhaps I could study DAT May-August and submit my application late August. Is that a good plan if I decide to apply to ivy-league schools with a mediocre GPA but high DAT and ok extracurriculars? Is there EDP for dental schools?

Remember that it takes ADSADDS 6 to 8 weeks to process your ap. That means that the schools won't get you application until October. By then, they will already be interviewing. It just makes it that much tougher because you will be competing against so many more applicants.

I have 2 brothers that were trying to go to dental school, with very similar stats. One applied in June, the other on September 1st. The one who applied in June was accepted, and the other wasn't. You decide if you're willing to take that risk.

Okay so when I'm filling out my application (or applications? is it just 1 application to all the dental schools?), does it matter if I took my DAT the day or 3 months beforehand? Since it's computerized, I'd expect it to not be a problem if I took it the same day I submit my application. Am I wrong?

Hey sorry to disrupt this thread but i have quick (stupid) question. How do i get my hands on an application. Can i just go to the AADSAS website and take a look at it - or do i need to be a member/registar, etc? Thanks!

You can submit your application before you take the DAT, at the same time you take the DAT, or after you take the DAT. It doesn't matter. Just as long as they get your scores once you take it

You can go to adea.org to see the application. You can only view it if you start up an acount with them
