Applications & Acceptances: How many schools and acceptance period?

I will be applying to dental schools this summer, and I have only have 6 dental schools that I'm really interested in.

How many dental schools do most pre-dents apply to? For those who have already been accepted, how many of these schools offered interviews and acceptances?
And is there an acceptance period within which an applicant must enroll at a school after an acceptance offer has been given?

I'd say most apply to between 5-15 schools, it really varies because some apply broadly while some just apply to their state schools.

No one has been accepted yet this cycle, the first date of notification is December 2nd of this year.
