Hey SDNers,

I was just wondering if you guys think I will be invited for any interviews, or if I'm probably too late in the cycle? All my schools should have my completed application by Friday because AADSAS just mailed out my last letter of recommendation on Tuesday. I'm just going to be so bummed out if I don't get any interviews...I wish dental schools didn't have this preference for early applications. My friend who is going for optometry just sent out her applications this week and Nova received it today and invited her THE SAME DAY! Craziness! I'm so happy for her..I just wish dental was like that. lol. Oh well.

Anyways, I'll put my stats in my signature. As well, I'm a Canadian applicant.

great scores, but you still have to submit supplemental applications for most schools, and as you said, its a bit late in the cycle 😉

If you can get the supplementals in before your schools' deadlines, you do stand a good chance of getting a laaate interview.

wowzer..those are some great stats.a bit late, but it doesn't hurt to try..well maybe your wallet will hurt a little😀

Your a little late, but with your stats it shouldnt be a problem. My friend was an outstanding applicant 3.8 GPA, 19 DAT, student government, great letters of rec, etc... She applied around october, but she got many interviews, and was accepted to at least 2 schools last year. Dont fret, you will be fine. Just make sure to send in your secondaries ASAP.

i wouldnt worry too much and see what happens. I know dental students who applied in march when they were applying, and they still got in. granted they had very limited choices, but with your stats i think you should be fine.

well thanks guys. I appreciate the honesty and encouragement. I actually do have in all my supplementals that were sent to me prior (the schools received my AADSAS application in august). It was just my DAT scores and a letter of recommendation that I was waiting on. I guess I will just have to be patient and just hope for the best, and if not this cycle (which would suck but not be the end of the world), I will just have to apply early next cycle.
