I wondered..I am applying this next summer. I want to be D.O., will it look better to only apply to D.O. schools? How about D.O. schools plus the M.D. schools in my state? I know that like to see dedication to their philosophy, and I am involved with pre-SOMA. Anybody know or have input?

Of course it is important to be dedicated to the osteopathic philosophy if you are interested in being a DO; but, I am almost positive that the two systems for applying are completely different and DO or MD schools will not know that you are applying to the other unless you supply them that information. If you are more interested in DO then I would suggest to not waste your time( or lots of money?!) applying to MD schools.
