I submitted my applications on June 4th and paid my supplemental fees on the same day they sent out emails about it. I completed any additional supplements within a 2-week window of receiving them. I have received two interview invites and applied to 20 schools. They are listed below. I want to know when I can generally expect the majority of interview invites to come in and how late they can come in, even though I submitted very early.

  1. UMD
  2. NYU
  3. Boston
  4. Tufts
  5. VCU
  6. CWR
  7. Temple
  8. Pitt
  9. UCLA
  10. Cali NS
  11. UCSF
  12. Western
  13. Midwestern IL
  14. IUC
  15. UFlorida
  16. USC
  17. UNC
  18. LECOM
  19. Rutgers
  20. UMich
  21. OSU

But you have 2 interviews lined up. This isn't about popularity. That's not how it works.
I understand that. Maybe it's poorly written in the OG post, but I am just trying to get an idea of what the timeline looks like generally. My sister is getting married soon, and it is really important to our family that we don't start planning the wedding when interviews are most common. I want to be prepared so we can plan accordingly since there is a lot of conflicting info online.

Interviews can happen between now and next spring. Schools usually take a break between acceptance day and new years at least. Sometimes a couple weeks after new years as the dental school is getting back into classes and admissions is coming back from holiday.

Take some time and browse the individual schools subs from last year, you can get an idea from there on how late interviews have gone for each school on your list. It’s all here on this sub.

If you want to play it safe assume interviews will go out from now to potentially april. State schools usually are done by January, sometimes earlier. Larger more expensive privates like USC or NYU interview well into February, March, or April.

As Ryxndek notes, interviews are mainly scheduled to begin in August and don't subside until April or sometimes into May, if a class hasn't filled yet. In other words, go to your sister's wedding.

More germane for you is when you want to visit campus, should you get an offer. We can't cross that bridge, but usually, second looks happen beginning in February for the first-wave offers. Those dates are less flexible. Regardless, family is much more important.
