Hi everyone!
I applied through the PTCAS on Jan. 15th since the schools I was interested in were due in Feb. and March and I wanted my first semester grades in there to get my GPA up. Do I have any hope of getting into one of the programs starting in late summer or early fall? Or...is it totally too late? It makes me nervous seeing so many acceptances, etc. when I just applied.
I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks!

My stats aren't the best and I strongly believe that applying early helped out tremendously with my acceptances. No sugar coating it but it is cutting it a little too close. Which schools did you apply to?

St.Catherine, Touro-Nevada, Midwestern-AZ, AT Still, St.Augustine, Nova, Southwest Baptist, Wash U. I have similar stats to yours. My brother goes to Wash U for architecture, otherwise I know that one is a long shot.

Do these schools do rolling admissions? At this late in the game, I think you would have the best chance applying to a school that does not do rolling admissions.

Just for future reference, if someone is reading this who hasn't applied yet, I think between applying earlier vs. waiting to apply to boost GPA, applying early is probably going to make the bigger difference in terms of likeliness of acceptance as a general rule. Meaning, applying early gives you a better chance of getting in. Also there is an academic update period, so you will be able to later add your fall semester grades anyway.

But yes, as others have said, if the school has rolling admissions, applying this late will make a big difference. If the schools you are applying to are not rolling and they haven't looked at any applications yet, I don't see how this would make a difference.

I agree with pumpkinpatch as I got accepted to Pitt waaaaaaaaay before their deadline was even listed. (And I was worried because there were others on here that heard before me!)

If they don't look at the applications until the deadline, then no harm, no foul. But it definitely seems most schools look at them as they get them.

Hey, you could still get an acceptance, but when I got my PTCAS app submitted and it was September I was nervous that was too late!
